One Mini Skirt, Two outfits

I love to accessorize and winter is all about the hats and scarves.

Next time I wear this outfit, I think I'll wear the my brown leggings instead.

Red Hat etc.

I've been wanting a knit winter hat for a while and found this one from Forever 21:

With an oversized navy vest, gray skinny jeans and winter boots.

With a super comfy dress that hides my belly bulge!

I found this look-alike dress on www.yesstyle.com, a Asian fashion/shopping site featuring clothes from Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. I actually bought my dress in the US but I don't see many women wearing styles like this here, though.

Layered Comfort

I was advised by my friend to dress in layers for Califronia. So I took it as a challenge and here's my layered outfit complete with camisole, sweater, jacket, scarves and hat.

Cali Outfit #2.

Love for Grey

Cali Outfit #3.
I can't keep away from anything grey.

Schoolgirl Rock

I was inspired by knee socks, wish I could incorporate more of fancy socks into my wardrobe. I also like this bright hot pink skirt.

Winter Shorts II

I found that I had these over-the-knee black socks in my drawer and it gave me an idea.

Hippie Bohemian?

For the love of colors and memories of spring.

Winter Shorts

Some fashion trends are strange, very strange indeed. On that list includes pleather leggings, peep-toe oxfords and winter shorts. But it only takes a little time before I will come around to the idea. Winter shorts (aka. shorts made of thicker material like wool or tweed that are wore in winter) came in vogue in 2006. I wish I had bought a pair but it was not even on my radar screen back then. A look into the fashion blogsphere shows that winter shorts are still very much loved by girls in Asia. So cute when worn with tights or over-the-knee socks and a oversized sweater.

I woke up this morning with the idea for putting together this outfit. It's not a true pair of "winter shorts" but perfect for this "can't-make-up-my-mind-to-be-hot-or-cold" weather in Dallas.

Chiffon ruffle shirt from Poetry, sweater from Mossimo for Target, khaki linen shorts, bag from Liz Claiborne, peep-toe pumps, and fedora from Target.

Close-up. I've been trying to find ways to wear a fedora.

This is the ruffle shirt in its full glory as seen in another outfit. I just turned the collar down for the above outfit so it doesn't look so "Victorian-ish." Can I just add here how much I love ruffles? I don't think there's anything more feminine and prettier than ruffles. I should indulge in my ruffles for my closet.

Yellow Chiffon Dress

Found this cute flowery summery yellow and grey dress. Look at the cute fringes! Interestingly, it is a size 16, hmm, must be a kiddie size. It fits super well, though. In kids' size, the shoulder straps are closer together and the chest area is higher up, both things I like. I also have a few camisoles in x-large kids' size from Target. Again they cover more of my chest area and are my essentials for layering. So, back to the topic, this dress is sooo cute in the grey calf-length leggings and the Arturo Chiang shoes. This yellow chiffon dress is a dress for all seasons, one of my favorite finds this summer.

Yellow chiffon dress all autumn-d up with black leggings and gray cardigan. The gold belt reveals a waist.

The dress as late summer/early fall wear. Accessorized with white cropped jacket, grey ankle leggings, silver sandles, and pearl necklace.

Bare shoulders + Chiffon dress = Summer

No Longer a Teen, but. . .

Tokidoki brand clothing. Here's a model wearing a cute pink crewneck sweatshirt in size S from www.karmaloop. This is the first time I've heard of the brand but it features Japanese comic-con like characters.

Here's me wearing it in size M. I thought "cute, cute, cute" when I saw this shirt. But I was a bit hesitant to buy it, the pink is really a really bright baby/powdery pink (almost a "loud" pink, if that makes any sense). Also the style is very teen-ish,? But I love it, especially with my new grey skinny jeans, pair #2.

Summery Shopping Outfits

I call these my summer shopping outfits because they are easy on and off clothes for my summer shopping trips.

That same orange top with shorty shorts and my new white bag. I really like the white bag although the picture doesn't show its full details. I love white handbags as an accessory and it's actually not so hard to mix and match. I put together this outfit for the scorching hot Texas sun, but it shows just a little too much skin.

Another summer outfit, don't feel so exposed in this one 'cause the short is a bit longer and my shoulders are covered. I have since returned the big bright blue bag, I've decided the color is just going to be too hard to work with. Although it would look good with a plain black T-shirt now that I'm thinking about it. Oh well, I have enough bags as it is so unless I absolutely love it, I shouldn't keep it. Also, these shoes are called "kung fu" shoes, I just learned, funny huh?

Black Tee 'N Mini Skirt

My go-to outfit this summer:

The mini skirt outfit. With my fave black tee this season, seriously, it looks good with every jean/shorts! I like these sandles, too. And my T-strap sandles with a comfy sole. The mini skirt is not suitable for the conservative crowd, though.
