Houndstooth Skirt

I saw this interesting houndstooth patterned skirt (by GO international) on sale at Target and thought "hmm, my first piece of houndstooth clothing."

Just experiementing, don't actually know if this outfit will ever see the light of day: too office-like for party or my work.

I knew I was not wrong to buy this bright colored tights! I love how it pairs with the skirt. I could wear this to work or a party.

Peach and Khaki

What I wore to work today:

I use to wear the peach top by itself in the summer time to work but it's so much better layered with the white shirt.

Slimming Black Top

What I wore to work today:

One of my favorite work outfits. Black is so slimming.

I quite like this "what I wore" daily photo journal. I don't normally get to do this since my work outfits usually consists of scrubs and other blah attire.

Ruffle-ly Top

What I wore (to work) today:

I re-worked these gaucho pants from seasons past with this new ruffle-ly wrap top.

So glad I bought this top even though it was a size large and the last one left. It's not the most figure-flattering top because of the size but I love the aflutter ruffles and wrap style.

Periwinkle Gray

What I wore to work today:

Periwinkle cardigan, Merona (Target). Heather Grey skirt, Express. Patent black peep-toe pumps, Steve Madden.

I wore this outfit once last year and once this year to work. Not the most comfortable outfit for work since the skirt rides up when I sit down so it becomes much shorter than it really is. But I like how the outfit looks so it's my once-a-year outfit.

Office Chic

I bought this shirt for the sheer love of ruffles. And yes, the shirt is sheer, so it's paired with a light camisole. The soft, feminine, ruffly, eggshell-colored top is a nice contrast to the stark solid pencil skirt. And the belt brings the look together. I believe this is an office look, but I don't actually have an office to wear it to.

Grown-Up Looks = Work Clothes

There's a fear in me these days that I don't dress my age, meaning perhaps most of my outfits are too high-school-ish. Well, more on that later. But these outfits here I put together for work so I'd look professional and stylish, and definitely NOT juvenile.

I love the color and ruffles of this blouse. I will wear it with a pair of grey slacks, too.

I've decided white pants CAN go under a white coat. I really like this sheer top with a camisole unerneath.
